Amex Gold Card Lounge Access Guide

Amex Gold lounge access overview

American Express Gold cards differ by country. US Amex Gold historically focused on dining credits and rewards rather than complimentary lounge membership. Amex Platinum and Centurion cards are the primary Amex products with extensive lounge access including Centurion Lounges and Priority Pass.

Canadian Amex Gold may bundle different benefits than US Gold. Indian Amex cards (Gold, Platinum Travel, etc.) have their own lounge programs — search your exact card name rather than assuming US rules apply.

What Amex Gold holders can do

If your Amex Gold does not include lounge membership, you can still access lounges via day passes, airline status, flying premium cabins, or separate Priority Pass enrollment through another card.

Some Amex cards offer discounted Lounge Pass or one-off visit packages — check your Amex benefits dashboard.

• US Amex Gold: typically no Centurion Lounge membership
• Amex Platinum: Centurion + Priority Pass in many markets
• India Amex: search card-specific lounge lists on Lounge Access Finder

Finding lounges with Amex

Search by airport and select American Express as network, or type your full Amex card name. Review guest policies — Centurion Lounges often allow 2 guests at US locations with fee changes over time.
