Chase Sapphire Preferred Lounge Access Guide

Does Chase Sapphire Preferred have lounge access?

Chase Sapphire Preferred (CSP) historically did not include complimentary airport lounge membership as a core benefit. Lounge access for Chase customers is primarily associated with Chase Sapphire Reserve, certain Chase co-brand cards, and the Chase Sapphire Lounge network available to select cardholders.

If you hold Sapphire Preferred, do not assume lounge entry — check whether your card includes Priority Pass, Lounge Pass, or access to Chase Sapphire Lounges by airport. Benefits change; verify on chase.com or your card agreement.

Chase Sapphire Reserve vs Preferred

Sapphire Reserve typically includes stronger travel benefits, often Priority Pass Select membership (with guest rules that vary by year and card terms). Sapphire Preferred focuses on points earning and travel protections rather than lounge membership.

Chase has also opened branded Chase Sapphire Lounges at airports like Boston, New York, and others — access rules may require Reserve or specific card tiers. Search your departure airport on Lounge Access Finder after entering your exact Chase card name.

• Sapphire Preferred: generally no standalone lounge membership
• Sapphire Reserve: often includes Priority Pass (confirm current terms)
• Chase Sapphire Lounges: branded locations with card-specific access

How to get lounge access as a Chase cardholder

Options include upgrading to Reserve, purchasing Priority Pass separately, using airline status, flying business class, or buying day passes. Search your airport to see all lounges and which cards or programs match.
